I haven't played it. I know about the ticket shit though and I'm ragin.
Haven't played it yet. Seems that because of my ping i'm ultra low priority :<.

If any of you can host a server or a match we should organize some plays. Don't forget to invite me.
Just now played 3 waves after a long ass wait, saw the tank & sentry bomber :u
Played 2 maps (as spy on doe's drill w/e, and as demo on coaltown)

slightly entertaining. currently not worth the weight.

and i agree, the ticket bs is another money grab by valve.

w/e 8 pipe capacity loch n load is pretty fun.
This queue makes no sense.  Started at 20 minutes, got down to 2 minutes, jumped back up to 18, it's like a line for a ride, but people just keep jumping into the line ahead of me.  WHY YOU DO THIS VALVE.

*EDIT*
And finally I start to get into a match, connection lost, back to a 20 minute long queue.
This ticket crap pissed me off a tiny bit.
Yeah it's abit of a douche move.

I did manage to get into a game, but the lag was getting so bad, it was almost unplayable and then Valve was gonna shut down the servers anyways for a restart I guess.  I can see it being fun when everything is working properly, and people get the teams set up right.  Gets pretty hard at wave 4, but alot of that was due to lag, but there are also just so many robots coming lol
Valve's server matchmaking did not work out so well for me and my friend. We waited for about 30 minutes just to fail to connect to the server four times.

Tried playing it solo but the amount of bots is overwhelming.

Had a fun time playing MvM in the red server however.

Um, Red and Yellow can't run the game mode, they aren't 32 man servers. I saw this debacle coming a mile away, since the game mode requires that you convert an existing server, and that its 32 man server to boot. You're now paying probably $60+ a month for an actual six slot server.

The way bots are coded in TF2 makes self-hosting like Killing Floor or L4D prohibitive. I'm gonna give this a good month to cool down before I give it a whirl.
Yea, I still can't run any of it. At all. Sigh.
Guide on hosting MvM servers coming up in an hour. You CAN host locally, it's not as resource intensive as you think. Kase was playing on my listen server last night, as were Commish/K2/Spore/Moosendoo/Scar/Geoff/Boney/Gasman.

EDIT: Guide is up. And if you're raging about the tickets, remember that you have access to the mode itself for free. You only have to spend money if you want promotional items (which seems pretty normal).
I was raging about the tickets at first, but when you think about it, they're basically just keys. Just instead of opening creates, your killing robots.
I don't care about the tickets, ater all it's another way for Valve to make money from their second most played game that most people got for free. I think almost all of us got it as a gift from the Orange Box (if not, paid only 15$) and have over 1000 hours played. I wouldn't mind giving Valve money until the price I paid is equal to the time i've spent on the game (aka a fuckton)

Also i haven't played yet. Tried again. Was only 11 minutes, then 40, then 59, then 30, then 40 again, then fuck it.
how to win mvm

scout - collect dosh
demo - aoe fuck-you-up damage
engie - dispensers and sentries

Replace scout with a backburner pyro.  Clean up entire waves of goons by self.  Can also collect dosh.

I just tried to play it and it told me I needed to buy a ticket first

That's only for Mann Up, where you get loot.  Just look up servers with low players in the server browser with mvm for the map.  It's the best way for just playing.  I finally got onto a server and played through two of the maps a bunch of times and I enjoy it.  Can't say I liked pyro for it, as the scouts speed helped for just circling the bots.
Hosted a server and played some MvM with sogo, john, milkmann, swain and neco for like 4 hours. Complete server botch-up aside, the gamemode's a hell of a lot of fun.

Oh Eightball and I were talking about how Red was broken right after the update and then he fixed it. Sometime later, I got invited to the MvM server and I just naturally assumed it was the Red server. Apparently it was not.
