10 years ago, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from maximum security stockade to the CP_Warpath2 underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire...
The BRB Team.
I had mentioned this in passing to Joel a while back, it came up again for some reason recently, and Rumsfald dropped the "crack commando unit" line on the Funny Caption Thread. I'm prompted to promptly put this idea on paper.
I want to do a send-up of the introduction for the A-Team, of course. Some clips will be replaced with awesome staged TF2 action scenes. I'm definitely going to need some help, so I will entreat the community soon. I won't need more than a couple of people for any one scene. I will need Gmod expertise for some of the requirements such as a Murdock airplane clip (queue the cheap office-chair + wooden door wings + rocket jet airplane).
Characters / Classes:
Attached is the time index sheet of scenes from the intro. The scenes themselves will be replaced but it'll help me stick to the flow of the theme song.
My to-do list:
- Plan a fake episode so as to produce a silly Preview with silly non sequitor quotes and clips.
- Decide what scenes to faithfully reproduce and what scenes to replace with custom action. (* see below)
- Determine how many people are needed for each clip that cannot be done solo.
- Warpath2 wall-breaking used for the B.A. door-breaking scene. It takes 25 Heavy punches to break both the brick wall (the target) and the wooden interior wall. So we queue it to 24 hits and then stand by.
Faithful vs. custom: We can't put someone in a monster suit unless we do mad Gmod science and stick a Spy in a Heavy ragdoll (possible?). We can't do the tank shot -> vehicle flip unless maybe we splice a Soldier crit rocket and a Buggy flip in Gmod. Oh, and whatever we do, I am required by a local ordinance to end with the Trademark Jeep flip straight from the TV show.
I am uncertain on what to type for the credits when they introduce Hannibal, etc. Meaning do I say Hannibal is played by George Peppard or by whatever community member was playing Spy at the time? I won't worry about that right now.
Posting this will help me get my ass in gear. If you have ideas or want to help, please let me know. Thanks!

Characters / Classes:
- Hannibal: Spy. He needs to disguise. He smokes a cigar. No-brainer.
- Face: Hmm. He uses disguises a lot, too, but he can't be another spy. I'm going with Medic for now.
- Murdock: Bat-shit crazy? Scout.Â
- B.A.: Demoman. A Heavy might be fine, too.
- Amy: Problem. No female classes unless you count Pyro's ambiguity. I don't know what to do with her. Any ideas? I got nothin'.
