Name: Hamachitoid
Pass: alsococks

If you don't have it, go here.

edit: renamed. Same pass.

wow i just made this topic for trouble shooting ,but it seems like every retard that would have read it is already in the group.

found some of this information . might help someone.

Been using hamachi with buddies for nearly a year now, basic of course, works great.......

Little tip for you guys though....
---------------------------------------------------------
If you have problems seeing games or players
---------------------------------------------------------
Applies to XP

1) Go to network connections
2) Click Advanced , then Advanced Settings
3) Select the Hamachi adaptor from the 'Connections' box
4) Use the UP arrow to the right to shift the Hamachi adaptor to the top position, so basically it's the first one
5) Click OK
6) Reboot the PC (changes won't take effect until the system is restarted)
---------------------------------------------------------

Anyone who i know who has problems either seeing players or games listed has fixed it using the above solution, only took me 1 - 2 months to find the solution.... lol...  just wanted to share...
Troubleshooting?

Could you shoot this trouble?

What am I forgetting to do that would keep me from connecting to someone's TF2 listen server across Hamachi?  We keep getting an error that says, "LAN games are limited to local clients" or something similarly worded, but we can see each other's games, game names, number of slots, etc.

Any wisdom shared would be appreciated!

Sincerely,
Retard

o dam a customer.

why do you need to go through lan to get on the listen server ?

edit: chats are for steam messenger.
If someone does Create Server on the TF2 main menu rather than use TF2 Dedicated, then you gotta be on their LAN to connect to it, don't you?  It was just an odd "can we do this" test, anyway.

Vandamguy

if i make a listen serve r, you should be able to join it without hamachitoid.  ..    ..
when I make listen servers no one can join :\

Vandamguy

make your ports forward to the front of your computer
I have my ports forwarded o.o
is sv_lan set to 1?
no, sv_lan is set to 0

ok
big night for me and little hamachi

first of all , it does work.

just not always the way you want it to.

here's what we did to make it work with civ4.

first, me and luca got ourselves patched up and cracked to the most recent version. 174.
after that, we started to monkey around with the options the game provided. the internet option didnt work at all, creating a gamespy ID wont work ,and we cant view the game list even if we make one.

we went to Direct connction with IP. and popped in my IP , his IP. dint fckin work.
forwared my ports , still didnt work.

tried the lan option. i cant see luca's hosted game , but he can see mine .. he cant join my game though*(star for later). retarded.

we're like , bawls.. fuck it

Copulatingduck came up with the idea of using the hamachi IP in game to see if that works.
2 minutes later , boofuckin ya, we're connected.

case closed.

30 minutes later

Tragic and I are troubleshooting for titan quest wednesdays.

first of all, tragic cant join hamachitoid cause its full.. we made a new network.

got ourselves all hooked up that way and launched .. internet games are a no go .. says invalid CD key ( NO WAI )

our other option is the LAN .. load that up and i cant see tragics games , and he cant see mine ... fagballs.

i do the port forwarding, and now tragic can see my games , but not join them ... fagballs.

i decide to try a TQ install on windows xp , with all the same settings. just swap operating systems.

load it up , host the LAN  and  [Image: GREAT_SUCCESS.png]

anyone thats running vista and wants to play TQ may be shit out of luck.
or the host at least needs to be using XP with ports forwarded.

*maybe if i was using XP when Luca tried joining my lan game in Civ4 he would have been able to connect.

resources for other hosts ( i dont always want to be the center of attention )

Yea help him reach 100/200.  That will be an epic milestone.  I think you should get an achievement for that, and an unlockable.
I discoveres this program called Garena a while ago, and while it only shows a couple games available with rooms, it is capable to emulate any program just like hamachi would have done as long as you put the program on it's setting and all the desired players are on the room.

It's really easy to use and it is really secure
