If you dont have HL1,  you utterly fail as a PC Gamer

Question: would those mods work with a less-than-legal copy of HL1? ^_^

If it is the most up-to-date version, and we run mods over hamachi, I see no reason why not. Would have to test to be sure though.
Have.

Did you vote in the poll?
you mean sans steam? or just non-source version?

Uhh, what? HL1 and HL1 mods do not run on the source engine. You would need the older, non-source version to run the mods. Whether you got it through steam or from a CD is irrelevant (I hope I answered the right question).
Read the name of the file for this picture, this is what you should buy, includes TFC and HL1 expansions

Hmm $5 for TFC

I should pick that up.
Opposing Force was awesome.

Never finished it. Same with Blue Shift. Yay, something to do!
Go go go. Tongue
I have Half Life Source, but it doesn't work with mods.
I don't have HL1.  Used to play it on a friend's account, and never had a reason to get it once i had my own.  Some of the mods are nice, but I think HL1 itself is a HIGHLY overrated game.

it has a high nostalgia factor, especially for the number of sheer quality mods it produced (cs, tfc, dod, ns).  I have 2 copies of the original, and I think i bought the rights to another version (maybe hlConfused) when i bought my orange bawks.

Do have.
