Does anyone remember the Worms strategy games? Where you take turns shooting each other with crazy weapons, until all of the worms on each a team died?
I just replayed one of them, and it was great. Maybe we could set up a game of Hamachi or something.

On that note, does anyone remember Scorched Earth? With the Riot Bombs, the Nukes, the Rollers, the Dirt Bombs, and such? I think Worms was a spiritual successor to Scorched Earth, wasn't it?
Yeah, and Scorched Earth was based off the dumb game with two monkeys throwing bananas at eachother I think.
I have some version of Worm's Armageddon sitting on here somewhere, but I just get frustrated coz' I suck at that game. Scorched Earth oddly enough, I still like, and theres a lot of modernized versions of it as well.
Scorched was pretty sweet, and yea, I think it was based off of
Gorillas. Loved them both. Worms was pretty cool, but I only have Worms 2 (though Armageddon was easy enough to
pirate borrow).

That was one of the first games I ever played. ;D
I still have a legitimate copy of Worms:Armageddon around here somewhere, if i could get it working, I'd love to play a few rounds over Hamachi or something.
Stellar idea, I'm on board with this, I'm sure I too have Worms 2 hanging around. I'm sure this could create more shit talk then TF2 produces.
you guys and your fucking legitimacy.
worms could have potential , however i am not spending any money to find out
side note: i remember playing this other DOS game called "tank" (tank.exe) which was similar , just one green tank versus red tank shooting differnt types of shells at each other. some would explode in a circle .. others would crumble dirt. anyone seen or remember this ?

I could "lend" you a copy
Gorillas, Scorched Earth, and Worms. Hello again, high school programming classes.
Sweet. I've got Worms 2 somewhere, and I've got a copy of the newest one for DS as well.
How about Gunbound? Much like Worms, but hella fun and with beautiful graphics. I used to be really good at it.
And Vandamguy, did you mean this?

It's just like you describe, but online. There's probably a downloadable version somewhere.

We should definitely set up one of these games for Straturdays. I could manage if that's ok.
I have Worms 2 around here, for sure.
And ZOMG I remember Gorillas and Scorched Earth. Man, I used to play Scorched every summer when I visited my grandmother. Good times.

similar to that
except older , much older. and making use of the pc speaker
I have played all the games mentioned and would be interested if I could get worms.
Worms was great, it was a major time sink when I was in college. Someone got ahold of a copy and we'd all go to his room and play or watch. It's crazy addictive like that. Also incredibly funny. I call spanish voices! Vaya con dios meng.

Vandam, Surf, everybody, don't enjoy >
Keep that stuff private, we don't want any trouble here.
Speaking of fun, simple strategy games, why not Atomic Bomberman?
Bomberman has been my favourite game for a long time now.
