We've had this discussion in numerous random threads and on IRC so it's time it has its own thread.  (duck I used all my apostrophes correctly!)

So what beers do you like what do you recommend?

One of my all time favorites is called Grand Cru of the Emporer and fuck if I know the brewer name, anyways it says on the bottle that it is brewed the same way since like the 15th century and not only is it delicious but it always makes me really contemplative of all the people that drank this throughout the years.  I think it's pretty cool.

One I just tried last night is called peg leg, it's a beer for pirates so maybe I shall try and have it next time for PVKII.  It tastes like coffee, chocolate and yeast, wheat too I think.  It's pretty tasty.  The flavor is very powerful though.
Newcastle Brown Ale. Delicious!
Darks and Ales are my favorites, I like to sample a lot of different micro brews and imports
Smithwick's. Got hooked on the stuff during a trip through Ireland.
* Hertog Jan (Dutch) -- Made with springwater, very pure taste, I can just keep drinking this.
* Jupiler (Belgian) -- A bit sweetish but a proper beer.
* LaChouffe (Belgian) -- Sweet, Blonde and Heavy this will get you drunk as fuck in the most pleasant way possible.'

That's all I can think of right now, there are 100s of other good beers, Belgium is THE best beer country in the world and htey make too many kinds...

Quoted for truth.

My current rotation:
Hacker-Pschorr Weisse : a good clean weisse that is refreshing near room temp. http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/hacker-psch...eisse/652/

3 Monts: Flander style: golden with a crisp alcohol bite. http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/3-monts/7321/

Fantome: A mild and heavenly Saison, wish I could find it more often around http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/fant%F4me/7661/
Yeah, definitely.  We sure love beer!  At least when we're old enough to...
Few of my favorites from the US:

Magic Hat #9
Brooklyn Brown
Carolina Brewery Spring Bock
Rogue Dead Guy Ale

Didn't even know there was a beer rating site.

Oh and call me a pansy but I love some of those fruit lambics, especially the black current (cassis) one.  I know it's hard to still call it a beer but it's worth a try.  It's like wine for beer folks.

Hey Mr. English Major, Irish Whiskey has the "e," Scotch is Whisky.

It's not the nicest of Whiskey's, but I really like Michael Collins, either blend or single malt.  Someone start a booze thread.

get that shit outta my face
But box wine is the latest technology of wine...in boxes.

Embrace the future man!
Miller Lite:  Because im from the south side and its cheap at bars.  Doesn't taste too bad either.
Guinness:  When I have the money and want to just enjoy the beer instead of downing it.
Harps:  Read Guinness.  Even tastier when combined
Sapporo:  Japanese beer.  Believe it or not its tasty as hell
In my opinion Miller Lite is way below PBR, Bud Light, and Busch Light on the taste charts.

That fake pilsner taste in Miller Lite is disgusting.
