'97 explorer, It's not so bad on gas since I don't have a girlfriend who lives an hour away anymore.  I just don't drive it now; work is .75 miles away.  It's not even an XLS, it's an XL... cloth seats and no luggage rack.  but the price was right, ergo my cousin sells used cars and raped someone's wallet for it and sold it to me at cost.
'01 Saturn something..common car. has good gas mileage, working A/C, and a great sound system..that's all I care about.

Clearly the superior choice.

I still prefer my bike. Wink

It's going to be three years now since I sold my favorite car I ever owned/drove: 2002 WRX (pic stolen from internet)

And traded it in for this and my shoes

I don't miss driving a bit.  I've thought about getting a Brompton, but all of my walking is within 5 miles so a bike seems overkill.

I do have one of these that I picked up in Munich, which gets used mostly on weekends to get groceries.

Mass transit ftw.

I don't know about that. The New York City transit system is getting pretty lame. Not just because they can't be on time, but because people act like total dicks. Also poop smell.

Yeah the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) is getting worse and worse.  Mainly because Chicago has tapped all its money into civics and infrastructure that they can't afford to pay the Train and Bus drivers.

This will be one of the best parts moving to Portland at least.  Plenty of busses, and lots of free or cheap lightrail around the city.
What I want to go to work in:

Stupid state of Florida repealing the whatever they passed to try and get one here.
I drive my feet.
I want some Shinkansen trains. Sad

Used 1999 Ford Escort back when I first got it.

I also use this a lot too:

I've got a 99 Suabru Impreza coupe:

Soon to be turbo-charged and mated to a 6-speed.

Not my car, but almost exactly like it. Just give it more rust and then you'll have it.

Also put a permanent car bra on it to cover up the fist-sized hole, and put a rebel alliance tag on the back...

Also what HeK isn't telling you is that when his car got stuck like that, it was actually at like midnight and it was pouring rain out; when we got out to push, the water in those trenches was up to my knees, and I'm 6'.
