Be Right Back, Uninstalling

I'm giving away three copies of the ship as part of a pay it forward scam I hope will continue in this lovely community.  So here's the rules:

This challenge will be to create a LOL X picture, where X is equal to anything related to our community or the games we play.  The basic formula for a lol picture is picture plus funny caption equals lulz, but I am giving you plenty of wiggle room to run with the idea in any direction you want.  To get yourself started think about your favorite class or mod characters.  Screenshots will be a good place to start but you can also use gary's mod and real life pictures.  While the focus will be on video game submissions if you can make something related to the community that makes us laugh it is more than welcome.

The judging will be done by myself, Vandamn Guy and Scotty G.  Comparisons to reality TV judges to follow.  Grading will be based on effort, cleverness and how well your submission is in the spirit of the competition (ie how well does it relate to the community or the games we play).  One submission per person.

Also effort is key, if you just do a google search and slap a caption on it it will have to be damn funny to compete against something that took a lot more time and patience.  And plagiarism will have your submission thrown out immediately (so no submitting kor-koolaid).  Also anything you've made before and posted to the board is not valid, as it wouldn't be fair to others.

Here is a separate thread for submissions only, so feel free to discuss anything you aren't clear on here.

Submissions must be in by 6/29.  We will then judge and give out the steam codes to the winners (assuming I get them in by then, I have no idea how long shipping will take)

Just to clarify, because i've gotten questions.  It doesn't matter if you can't use photoshop or don't have G-mod.  Just be creative.  You can use anything you want.  Even if you bend the rules a bit but stay within the spirit of the competition I'll go ahead and except it (if you want to be sure you can check with me first).  That said don't use other peoples work without sourcing it (as in if you grab a picture online and use it with one of your captions I want to know that it isn't yours and where you got it from or you will be disqualified).

LOL, if you feel it can compete just stick it in the submission thread.  Just remember you only get one, although I suppose you could swap out your submission.  Hmm come to think of it I'll allow that but I'm locking it when the contest is over.

I should have read this before i did a google search and slapped a caption on it, but it's prob the best i could do anyways as my 90 minute fully CGI rendered submission needs more start up capital before i can even begin pre-production  .

It was pretty damn funny though, you could always switch it out later if you start to feel like you are going to lose.

Remember I got 3 copies to give out.

Hey everyone I just got all 3 copies in the mail!  So get those submissions in. We are going to make the ship a regular night, we are just still discussing whether it should be Wednesday or Monday.

It has to be custom?! I didn't know that! :<

If by custom you mean made by you entirely than no...it just won't be judged on the same level as those that are.  As in someone who put a lot of work into it will already be looked at pretty highly, then awesomeness will be considered.  Whereas if you ripped off the picture you get no starter points and you have to be insanely awesome to make up.

Flickr has a photo editor, you can use the basic for free and it includes adding text.
