Lest you disparage American brews too much, there are some fine breweries such as Dogfish Head, Victory, Brooklyn, Allagash, Sierra Nevada and others that make a fine beverage. Maybe not Reinheitsgebot, but then again, lambic is not Reinheitsgebot either.
