YAAAAAAAY. I finally got it! Good condition and only $64! (Yes, that's a bargain)

Anyone ever played this? :3
Which one is that? Is it the gamecube thing, or the original game? I'm not very informed on this whole "Metal Gear" thing.  :-\

Gamecube remake of the playstation one. Considered a better version by people I trust.

No. It's just super Rare now. I would get at a store for cheaper....BUT NO ONE HAS IT. I must've tried 50 stores at least.
Are you fucking kidding me?  I can sell that shit for $64 now?  Really?  Shit I gotta sell my copy.
It is freakin sweet wish my copy wasn't something I borrowed from a friend.
Go out and buy MGS Collection.  1+2+3 For 30 bucks
That's what I bought Geoff =p

I was thinking of getting Twin Snakes, but...I never got around to it.
I played it.  and it was FACKING ORESUM

Psyco Mantis now knows that I played Animal Crossing, and Viewtiful Joe, and Pikmin....

Also,  playing very easy mode gave you a silenced MP5 with unlimited ammo.

That's the gun McClane used.
I never played Twin Snakes, but I was brought into the Solid series through the original PS game back in the day. So I am very biased as to what I prefer..
The Twin Snakes was the first MGS game i played.  I enjoyed it, but i don't think I'd ever pay $64 for it.  Speaking of MGS, off to Snake Eater!
Oh god, it IS super rare now. I really regret not buying it for 10$ at a local used game store 2 years ago.

At least I still have my rare GC Resident Evil remakes. Those things cost wayyyy too much now.

The game is freaking brilliant though. The graphics are much much more crisp and sharp than the playstation counterpart. That is one of the biggest reasons that it is better than the playstation version. Also, the gamecube controller is just plain comfy Big Grin
tried to get it, no success. i skipped on a 10$ bargain. and now I'm paying the price. I have a history of badluck with the metal gear series. The world won't let me play them.
I still say the gamecube remake has nothing on the original. Not to mention the cutscenes are very different.

Uh... Graphics?  Gameplay elements such as first person?

The original Metal Gear Solid on the PS1 wasn't designed to use first person shooting, and consequently it removes a lot of the challenge from the game, especially in the Revolver Ocelot fight. Plus the cutscenes are way over the top, and not nearly as good as the originals, despite the improved graphics. I still like it though, and it's an interesting take on the previously established Metal Gear Story, but the original is better.

The game was fun.
Challenging
and Bullet Time was overused.
THE END. :V
