Anyone play DoD:S? I'm gonna give it a try.
I used to a lot! I tried the beta for the new update, oh, I guess it was about a month ago now, but it was still a bit buggy for me. I might try and play a little this weekend, since the update is officially out, but I can't guarantee it...I've been playing Diablo 2 a lot lately with a few of my friends since the D3 announcement...
Other than that, fun game! I played the original game as well when I played CS 1.6, but I've since moved onto Source...a few of my CS friends still hate me for that
I just played it a bit. It's a pretty nice mod. I don't really like the control point gameplay though. It made me wanna go back and play CoD:UO.
It's interesting getting used to weapon recoil again.
I've had it for a while now. It's fun an all, but to be honest, I don't think it's a BRB:U type of game. Every server I go to I end up getting kicked or banned for some stupid shit.Â
Examples;
-Shooting at something other than an enemy (a sign): kicked.
-Shooting in spawn (not even at a friendly): banned.
-Killing self: Banned.
-Having a negative score (No questions asked): kicked.
-Spamming radio commands: kicked then banned.
-Killing a friendly accidentally twice: kicked.
-Killing a friendly on purpose: banned.
-Complaining about uptight dickheads playing DOD:S: kicked.
-Saying the word "dick": banned.Â
I swear people that play that game think they are actually in WWII. They've got so much shit crammed up their asses it's not even funny.

Quoted for Truth, this is also why I stopped playing DoD in HL1, at first, it was semi-realistic, less so than CS, and more people were laid back. Then they made all these updates to up the realism, absolutely hated it.
The rifleman is fucking the greatest thing ever. They need a rifle like that for the sniper update. No scope, just crosshairs or sight. But it was almost as powerful as the sniper rifle.
I have so much fun with that thing.
