Alright, I just got done with a new build and decided to run some 3DMark benchmarking tests. Not only that, but I decided to try my hand at overclocking the CPU and GPU's as well...
Anyways, here's the final score:
17491 3DMarks
Proof: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=7589050
My build's part list:
I included the irrelevant components just for show...
Case: Antec Nine Hundred
Power Supply: OCZ GameXStream 700W
Motherboard: EVGA nForce 680i SLI 775 A1
Processor: Intel C2Q Q6600 - OC'd 3.2GHz (9x355)
Cooling: ZALMAN 9500A 92mm CPU Fan
Memory: 4GB OCZ/Nvidia DDR1066 Dual Channel
Video: 2x EVGA 8800GT SLI - OC'd 720/1800/999
Hard Drive: Western Digital Raptor X 10000 RPM
Monitor: Samsung 226BW 22" SyncMaster
Keyboard: Logitech G15 (1st Generation!)
Mouse: Logitech MX518 1800dpi
Mouse Surface: Ratpadz XT
Headset: Sennheiser PC151
Operating System: Windows XP Professional 32-Bit
Contrary to my initial beliefs, however, this new rig has not improved my TF2 skillz.
...So, if you want to participate by posting scores of your own, hit up the links below. There's no incentive, however...sorry...
Don't be afraid, it's always fun to see the lower scores as well!
To download 3DMark06 basic (free) edition:
http://www.futuremark.com/download/3dmark06/
Scroll down to find a list of links to websites hosting the download.
For all you Vista users, you can also download 3DMark Vantage:
http://www.futuremark.com/download/3dmarkvantage/
It supports DirectX 10 benchmarking, so it only runs in Vista, hence my lack of a score.
I believe it's just a trial version and you can only run it once.
