Pure awesomeness. I'm still afraid there's no way a movie can adapt a book like that successfully. But I'm now a lot more hopeful.
waiting to see it packaged with dark knight at midnight.

I'll be pissed if it isn't.
Is...is that Billy Corgan singing in the trailer?  This movie has already won

It's looking absolutely fucking amazing. Now that I don't have to worry about the visuals, I'll continue worrying about the script.

Also, the trailer's on apple.com now, so you can get the HD versions.

Many thanks, that was what I was waiting for.

Quite a lot to take in from the trailer. Obviously just a brief glimpse but Manhatten looked good, the Comedian seemed to have nailed it, Nite Owl seemed a bit off, maybe too superhero-y. Also, Rorschach never sounded like that in my head.

Good to see that slow-motion still rocks Zack Snyder's world  :Smile

The music seemed spot on, if that's the tone they're going to keep for the film. What the fuck was up with the CGI, though? I realise there's another six months or so of post but why release a trailer so laden with shitty, 90s looking effects - Manhatten's house on Mars looked fucking sweet but shit like the pull out to the logo and the Owlship rising out of the water looked pretty whack to me.

Just watched it about half a dozen times, so it definitely hit a spot.
I'm currently downloading the super mega big HD one.  I dunno why.

It looks real purdy in 1080p
Damn, Dr. Manhattan's origin right off the bat?  FACKING ORESUM.
10,000 dollars to the first person that finds me the song in the trailer and uploads it or sends it to me

I think they nailed the voice of Rorschach, as I always pictured him as having a voice that's like a more grizzled version of The Question's voice in the DC animated Universe.  And the reason why they changed the costume for Nite Owl is because if the original costume was there, the camp factor would be off the charts, and it would throw off the entire look and feel of Watchmen.

Honestly, there's not much more to it at all. About all this does is generate a lot more buzz for the movie. It appears I played right into their hands. :-(
Except they changed the ending!  No #$%@^&#$!  <-censored for spoilers

How do you know?  And if they make it a happy ending I'll be super pissed.
