Hey all! Just letting you know that if you've noticed a few little things looking different around here, you're not going crazy. I've finally been motivated and/or got off my butt and made a few changes.
The first is one we've should've had since day 1: I've removed (hopefully) every trace of post counts. This includes the one group based off of post counts (as you have to have at least one it seems), "Scrub"/"~". They're still in the background, but the bits that display them have been removed. Good riddance.
The second one deals with membergroups. Out of the box, SMF only allows for the display of a user's primary membergroup. This meant that if we wanted to make someone an admin of some type, they would no longer have their custom title. Because of this, it was decided that permissions for admin only things would be given on a per custom title basis, instead of having one "admin" group that admins are put in. I shouldn't have to tell you that this quickly turned into an organizational nightmare, and was a big reason the updating of custom titles stopped. However, I've changed it so (hopefully) all of a user's membergroups will show now.
Since things are working more the way I want them now, I've taken the liberty to go back to the first of July and make all the custom title suggestions, and will now look after future ones. Enjoy!
PS: Something I forgot to mention. If anybody sees a mention of post counts somewhere, or finds their permissions are different than they were before, let me know. Thanks!
