Oh who am I kidding I would normally do this, just not as often as some other people.

I need to get a birthday present for my dad.  I'll be leaving in about 1-2 hours to go looking.  The thing is I don't have a lot of money and he is insanely hard to shop for.  He's a beach nut, just got into technology through apple and has an iphone.  He's also big into wine, and just moved into a new house.  So those are the areas I'm currently considering.  Anyone know of a good gift that won't break the bank?
Buy him an iTunes gift card. He can use it to buy apps or music for his iPhone. Easy  ;D

The thought crossed my mind but I got him one for Father's Day QQ.  I was thinking about just gifting him a couple apps I think he'd use, since he is too "busy" (lazy) to do stuff like that on his own, plus not very tech savvy (just tech interested).
I'm terrible at getting presents.  90% of the time I just give up and get a gift card.
allready told you to go with the no facepunch.

All the best apps are free anyways.. unless he'll be playing games on his iPhone.

Go with the default and buy him a tie  Wink
Go to your local specialty liquor store, give them your price range, tell them what kinds of wine your dad likes and buy him some.

This is my backup, we have a good wine store here, and his new house has a wine cellar.  He's been trying to collect enough to mostly fill it.

Seconded, and add a nice teflon corkscrew (~15$). I like the Screwpull http://www.google.com/products?q=screwpu...&scoring=p

It never leaves cork bits in the bottle, and the teflon glides through so easily.  Most winos I know still try to use a cheap metal corkscrew.

That's a good idea but he already has one of those massive mounted things that you just pull the handle down and up on.
I got 3 bottles of good value wine, there is a whole bunch of <$20 wine rated 90 or so apparently.  Thank god we got such an awesome wine shop with such a nice owner, I was completely lost in there.
You should get your father a
If only they had a portable vineyard app for iPhone.

You got him reds, right? Reds are for birthdays.
