I'm getting surgery tomorrow morning for a deviated septum and/or an overgrown turbinate. I leave the hospital in the afternoon, but I'm gonna be taking some heavy duty pain pills, so I won't be playing TF2 for a bit. Tongue

Kind of fitting, considering you're avatar Wink In all serious though, I hope everything goes well and you feel better soon! Can't wait to play you again!
Good luck with the rhinoplasty  Wink

I miss you already  :'(
Heavy duty pain meds?  dude, that's even more reason to play.  Well, unless you have a 360 then I'd opt for RezHD.

space giraffe is good for acid trips too.
yes! everyone suggest things for Versus to do while he's fucking flying, and share some game + altered mental state experiences.

/threadjack  Oh yeah, hope yer snoz feels better before you run out of meds, Versus.
Personally, after I broke my sternum, Raiding in WoW was alot more interesting.  Anyways, first trips into Magtheridon were the week it happened, I was OT #4 and after my add was down, I was having genuine trouble differentiating between the infernal summons that were running around on my screen that I was supposed to pickup/fear and the ones running around on my desk that I was supposed to ignore.

Heavy duty pain meds only make things more interesting, I played a TFC clan match high as balls on vicadin the day I got my wisdom teeth removed. Was a surreal experience...

I had to look that up... made me think of some sort of secret ingredient or attitive for some snake oil product.  "Now containing turbinate!" and what not...

As far as a trippy game... pretty much anything should work really.  I think TF2's overall style should provide for a nice "wtf?" experience while high...

Feel better dude!
Hmm...I do have a 360. It's not connected to the internet, though. Sad

SWPM: ha, hadn't thought of it like that. Wink

Crow: ROFL. What pain meds were you on?

Thanks everyone! I should be back on the forums by tomorrow night. Suggest trippy games!

edit: I'm definitely playing Audiosurf. Suggest some tracks for that, too.
I concur.  If you actually manage to stay awake long enough, you should totally come play.  Also, Rez HD fails for it's pathetic attempt at using 5.1 type configurations and fucking up all the sound.  Srsly, stereo is the only way to play that game.

Percocet.  But I usually had rum & cokes when I played wow which didn't help the whole seeing things business.  They just stopped bringing me to raids for a bit.  Actually I really didn't take much of the stuff when I was in enough pain to warrant it (for those of you who haven't injured your sternum, think "broken rib", but "every rib and collar bone too"), because I couldn't actually walk to class on the stuff.  My university Health Center has a real consistency problem when it comes to pain management techniques.  The Good doctors are so tightfisted with medication it borders on inhuman.  The Bad doctors hand out vicodin for broken fingers.
Hope you don't get Michael Jacksoned.
Get well soon
Good luck mate, and if the effect of the meds is sufficiently trippy: ytmnd can be hilarious when high...

Also: hard drum and bass tracks on audiosurf make for a tripped out experience.

I played through and it's real nice. As fun as some nice, hard jungle might be, I struggle with it on the higher difficulty settings at the best of times, let alone when in a woozy, drugged-up state.
Best of luck. Nose surgery is a pain, especially afterwards when you want to breathe through your nose but can't for awhile. :-\
That surgery sounds hardcore. Get well soon yo.
good luck mate.
