I boot up my computer today to see that AVG is complaining of missing a .bin file so I say fine go update. Apparently it is to stupid to download another fucking copy of the bin and use it. I have been to spoiled by steam. I'm trying to decide if reinstalling isn't my best option.

CDBurnerXP is still awesome. :< CPU-Z is still awesome.
CDBurnerXP was never awesome, It's pretty broken.

CPU-Z, however, will always be awesome. Mainly because the dev doesn't fuck with it and try to add 'features'.

First time I've heard of this, honestly. >.> Aside from the .NET reliance, I have had absolutely no trouble with it.
It works just fine, however the feature set and the interface are way lacking.
Why do I have to create a new project to burn an disc image? Making a image from a disc is weird too.
Over all it's a difficult program to use.

Nero 6.6 on the other hand...

Actually, they changed it around as of late. Burning an ISO is now one of the main options and seems to be pretty seperate from the rest of the program now, for the most part.

I don't even bother to burn ISOs.  Just keep em on my hard drive and use Daemon Tools until I run low on HD space and delete a few.
well when I booted up this morning the problem had gone away. I would say thanks for all your help but um not a single one of you posted anything useful at all.

Which is incredibly helpful when trying to install Linux on your laptop, I'm sure. :B

There was nothing useful to say in the first place.

You lamented about a problem with AVG that you were already on the way to solving, and the conversation sought other subjects for refuge after starving on the desolate rock yours was. Tongue

Which also shows how incredibly fail Microsoft is for not including an ISO burning tool in windows in the first place... Both Linux and Mac OS X have them.

For windows I use the Isorecorder powertoy which is free and bloody handy.
