Well, I finally got around to playing one of the Sam & Max episodes.  Namely: Abe Lincoln Must Die!

And boy is it freaking Hilarious.

However, this isn't my first outing with Sam & Max. As I played their first game: Sam & Max: Hit The Road.  Which was made way back when Lucasarts made Point and Click Adventure Games.

P.S.  Reason why this is in Kiddy Corner is that as of recently, the Sam and Max episode are now Multi-platform.
I thought the original was a great game. Season 1 was pretty good, but it really picked up in season 2. A lot more references to previous episodes as well as Hit the Road and some more challenging puzzles.
I haven't touched either yet. But I played Hit the Road several times, and have all the cartoons.
I am still searching for the comic books.

Steve Purcell forever!
I'm probably going to pick it up for the wii just because it seems like a fun game to play with the wife. (I know it's not two player but it helps to have someone trying to solve the puzzles with you)
If anyone hasn't already, Abe Lincoln Must Die is available for free on steam.
I've been meaning to play these for a while, But, there's so many of them now though that it seems like it would pricey to buy them all. I think I'll wait for the Wii version.
I played the first episode of Sam and Max on Gametap.  I would play more but have not pursued this.  I haven't played much point-and-click adventures in my life and generally stayed away from them but this one was good fun.

Slightly off-topic, different game but same genre (?): anyone try "The Longest Journey"?

Vandamguy....

I am resisting the urge to slap you, as you are not the type that would enjoy adventure games.

BUT TO TORRENT SAM AND MAX?!!!
You're not showing much support to Indie games, are you?

i don't think i even remotely implied that i torrented sam+max
seems my reputation precedes me.  ;D

in my defense. I will put up that im a great believer in equality. if i'm going to torrent an EA game, I also by my code of ethics must also torrent indie.

yeah. its ethicaly correct now. you didnt see that coming
I just started the install for ABE LINCOLN MUST DIE this morning.

Gonna test it out once I get home. (AFTER FINISHING DEUS EX MIND YOU)
Well, what I meant, is that why go through with torrenting Sam and Max, when one of the episodes is FREE.
I just played through Sam & Max: Abe Lincoln Must Die!

And after wrapping my head around it, it was greatly admirable!

Witty humor, fun puzzles, quick loading times, quirky and funny characters, good animations...

The only thing that bugged me was that there was a lot of backtracking, but I guess that's normal in an Adventure game huh?
