In case you are wondering where I've been I decided to give HL2 another play through and I got sucked into it.  This game is definitely a classic and if you have never played it before you should get on it right now.  It is incredibly cinematic and I have started to think of the game in scenes instead of levels.

So what are your favorite scenes from the Half Life series?

I still think the first scene where you show up in town is the best.  Running from the overwatch with no weapons was very intense.  Revenholm was crazy, I love that batshit preacher guy.  Also I absolutely love any scenes with dog in them.  He seriously kicks ass.

On the other side I hated portions of the airboat scene.  Overall there was some really cool stuff from it but the driving control sucked and I got so motion sick I laid down on the couch with a pillow over my head wanting to die (probably should have stopped sooner and quit flipping my airboat).  The driving scenes I had trouble with for the same reason.  Plus I ditched my car too early not realizing I needed to push obstacles out of the way with my gravity gun and had to hop a very long distance.
You must not love it that much if you can't even remember the name of Revenholm. :-X
way back in Half Life 1, roasting that Mother Fucking Thumper thing.
I loved both the driving sequences, though the car doesn't handle very well.  Ravenholm and Nova Prospekt are my favorite parts.

Still need to beat this Sad
Antlion trainer
Just beat it =D
I'd say the entire driving sequence up the coast was my favourite bit. Stopping at all the houses along the coast or having to tiptoe past hordes of Antlions (although that bit might've been in one of the episodes...).

My least favourite bits were Ravenholm and anytime I had to deal with Manhacks. Such a chore and waste of ammo...

Just use the gravgun and they become your weapons.

Yeah, like Eschatos said, or just grab-smash-grab-smash... wait for it... come here, fucker... grab-smash.

I also enjoyed the drive along the coast.  When I was driving down those straight stretches of road and I'd look to the side to watch the scenery or the sea passing by, I found it quite evocative.  See a house in the distance, roll to a stop and hop out to check it for supplies.. I think that, more than the early city sections, made me feel like I was Gordon Freeman.
Oh I didn't know that, I just used my pistol since it was almost useless for anything else.  Although sometimes I got sick of the spray and just took at my pistol and started headshooting everyone.
If you're gonna replay HL2, you should try using HL2: Substance sometime.  It's a little buggy, unbalanced, and unstable sometimes, but it's also pretty fuckin' awesome.
