Be Right Back, Uninstalling

I'm usually play pyro, your flames have no effect.

So, I got a scroll of resurrection cast on my account so I have 10 days to fuck around for free (hence why you haven't seen much of me).  I'm not sure if I'm going to reup most of my guild is actually planning to packup and transfer to a pvp server.  I don't know if it's worth $15.  Also, I have mad battleground skills.

I have only played on private servers  :'(

I messed around on my friends sub once, but I dont like games that reward your killing power based solely on how long you've been playing

Don't play this game.

Welcome to most/every MMORPG.  Well the more recent ones.  EQ was quite rewarding to those who knew how to play the game.  You'd be surprised on getting a player with some epic gear only to have him attack "mezzed" mobs.

Planetside isn't at all, Id give up some of it for a happy medium of like 25% / 75% in terms of skill versus play time, or unless the top tier skill level can be reached fairly quickly without much "grinding". I would define grinding as taking over 90 hours.

Eve is by far the worst at this, War I hear is a step in the right direction, but not enough of a step to make me interested.

I played and paid for awhile... WoW seemed appealing at the time, and I had never played an MMO. Also many friends were playing it so I thought hey, why not...

But after awhile it got boring and too frustrating to be really worth it. I didn't like how missions never actually changed the world the characters were in once they were complete... they were just there to be completed millions of times by millions of people.

I quit, have never really looked back. I miss the prettiness of stuff I guess, but that can be found elsewhere.

I used to play a MUD, but never one of them new fancy MMOs with graphics.

TBH though I think the MUDS are worse. Or at least the one I played. No level/skill cap (so unlimited advancement) and a deteriorating benefits system, which means TONS of grinding, especially at high levels. My character had a grand total of 100 actual days of playtime in them, and I couldn't even compete with the people who have literally put over a year (in some cases over 2 years) of their life into staring at text and chasing numbers...

Feh. The MUD I played? You lost ALL experience you haven't spent yet when you die. Makes it pretty shitty when you've been saving up a million or so XP to learn one level of something, and die in 5 seconds because of a lag burst you couldn't react to.

Except you don't spend your experience.
