I download a trailer for it on my PSTriple, thinking it was Eternal Sonata (I get all those fancy description - flourishy noun JRPGs mixed up >.<) and was surprised to find what looks to be Fire Emblem meets Advance Wars (which is kind of odd comparison, seeing as both those series are already quite similar) with some Battalion Wars thrown in for good measure.

From the trailer and the Wikipedia page, I've determined that it's an turn based strategy game, with incredibly beautiful graphics (they're made to look like a moving water color painting) and an interesting WW1 like setting. Gameplay looks pretty slick, and the mechanics and clean and easy to use (which is a big plus for easily confused gamers like myself Wink) Any one esle have any thoughts on it, or should I just splooge some more? Wink
I played this at PAX.  IT'S INCREDIBLE.  Also it's not strictly turn based.  Things happen in player turns, but the combat is psuedo-realtime during that time.  Enemies will fire on you if they can see you, and the same goes for your characters when the enemies are moving.  This makes positioning your characters behind cover important.  However the action freezes when you aim to fire your "attack" at an enemy, which will do a lot more damage then the automated fire.  And you simply get a number of "move point" things for your entire team in alternating team turns, and can use them however you wish (use the same character twice, or move tanks which take more moves, etc.)  It's sort of hard to explain a lot about the game, but I thought it was fucking amazing, and really want a PS3 almost soley for this game.

Pretty awesome. I knew it had some realtime moving and aiming, but not to that extent. Make me even more excited, and extremely jealous that you got to play it Wink
