I really wish they'd stop making sequels for so many movies and video games.  Boondock Saints was a great movie, and this is unlikely to improve on it.  I feel the exact same way about Bioshock.
there already is a boondock saints 2...
what¿ never heard of that thing over here

Why can't you?  In a world where sequels and prequels are abundant this one could have been left alone, unique as it was.  Now some hollywood knob job is going to throw some jerry brockheimer effects in it and maybe cast Chris Tucker as the comic relief since Rocco is dead.  Then as the credits roll we will all shake our head and go "they should have never made a sequel".

But maybe I am jumping to conclusions

2 reasons - 1 I want to see more from that director, I think that was his first film.  2 since that was his first film I want to see what he would do if he had more resources.

And a bonus 3 I think there was room for a sequel in the second.  As long as they keep on examining the moral ambiguity and keeping it clever instead of just making a shoot em up I'm happy.  Or at least if they do do a shoot em up they have many deaths by vegetable.
Why we all should prejudge this movie:

1) after 9 years of waiting, and hearing rumors of a sequel for 8 of those, i've lost my capacity to love again.  Also, 2 or more years of production would extinguish this capacity forever.

2) crappy title.  All saints day?  why not just call it Boondock Saints 2: still killing badguys, but now with a badass dad.

3) Besides the scene where one of the brothers catches a bullet casing and uses it to mourn the guy he just murdered, Dafoe made this movie. Dafoe isn't coming back, therefor there will automatically be a lower baseline for awesomeness that the movie can rest on.

4) Rocco is coming back?  lol wut?  He died in the first one... it this going to be like, what, a ghost, a twin brother, a parallel universe, some new character who looks and acts exactly like rocco did but with a new name?

5) The directer is a bit of a douche: having a band named after your own movie is proof enough of this.

Thus, i can claim that this movie will suck without watching a single frame of it, and will continue to believe such even though i'll never do so.
