Be Right Back, Uninstalling

Full Version: So I finally made an introduction... :O

It seems like this introduction thing is all the rage these days, so I'll give it a go I suppose.

Name's Jordan. I'm 16 (lol, i no rite?) and I live in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador. It's pretty much the definition of obscurity. I don't do a whole lot besides gaming to be honest, mostly play music. I play Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboard and some Vocals. I've been in quite a few bands around this place, none of which lasted longer than a year or two.

I started gaming earlier than I can remember a date, but I remember playing Mega Man 3 on the NES. I'd play that game non-stop until I finished it, and then I'd play it again. I have no idea how I managed to do this as a child, because even now I struggle to beat the NES Mega Man games. I remember getting an SNES some point later and playing Mega Man X1, X2, and X3 over, and over. My first FPS was probably Doom. I was scared of the Marine's face when he got bloodied up, so I'd always play with invincibility. I'm not too sure which came next, but I'll start with Goldeneye. Best. Game. Ever. I played that thing day and night, and even remembering how long it took me to get the silo cheat (Was it beating it under two minutes?) still gives me the chills. Eventually, one of my friends told me of a mystical game where you could be a terrorist or counter-terrorist, have a knife and a gun, and plant explosives. Logically, this must of been the best game ever made, so I picked up CS 1.6 on a blind buy on vacation one year. It was probably these two games that got me into hardcore gaming. This eventually led to Half Life, to Half Life 2 and finally to TF2. Team Fortress 2 wasn't really on my watching list. I only wanted OB for HL2:EP2, but when I fired up Team Fortress 2 for the first time, I got quite a surprise.

And by surprise, I mean I hated the bloody game. I picked scout and was getting killed left and right. So I stopped playing after the first few days to go back to feed my WoW addiction (Loooooool. I don't play anymore though). Eventually I saw the same friend that got me into CS playing Soldier, and saw that maybe I could do better playing as that. Eventually I stopped sucking and finally went back to Scout and didn't completely suck. I believe it was at this point I started playing FNFs at Destructoid and saw that it was pretty darn fun. Eventually everyone was wearing these mysterious "BRB.U" tags, and being the ultra conformist that I was, I threw one in my name not know what it was. And that's the epic story of how I came here. (PS I still don't know the origins of BRB.U)

So I believe that about wraps it up. Thanks for reading my wall of text :3

The only reason I know this place exists is because Les Straud did an episode of Survivorman there...
In my mind the city is full of puppies.  I know it's inaccurate but don't ruin my dream.  The thought of a city filled with puppies gives me hope.

Just don't let NiceGuy in.  Either way someone is going to get very disappointed.
