So yeah. Air Canada had a seat sale so I was able to afford plane tickets to New York. Also, the oh so lovely DToider Superflossy is offering me a place to crash (please shower her in monies and lovins). So I'll be going to Blipfest!
EDIT:Not to be ignored, but Zen Albatross also offered me a place to stay. Superflossy just offered first. So shower him in lovins, but no monies. <3
Oh, and Left 4 Dead came out...
To commemorate these awesome events, this will be a very special edition of Friday Night Fights. Well... by special I pretty much mean not really any different than normal.
For Team Fortress 2, we have two maps for your enjoyment. I know normally we only do one on Fridays, but I'm not entirely sure about one of them so I figured a backup is appropriate. The first is ctf_faceoff_b2, which is a very tight map that promises very fast-paced action. Unlike most ctf maps it isn't symmetrical, believing this will encourage particular class choices for each team (we'll see about that). The second map is ctf_fu_trainyard_b1, which was mostly chosen because trains are highly underrepresented in TF2. It's a pretty darn big map, but has lots of off corridors and actually encourages players to ride the trains (which run every 15-45 seconds) to get from one base to the other quickly. Hopefully we can get a full server to play with this.
As for Left 4 Dead, there have been some issues with servers (something to do with routers and assigning IPs) so the ones we had earlier in the week have sadly been taken down. Fear not though, as we will be purchasing a Left 4 Dead server for your enjoyment! Yes, we love you that much. ^_^
The address to connect to the server is 8.9.31.136:27015! However, we would still like to ask those who can host a game to consider doing so, as a server can only hold 8 players and very likely there will be more than 8 people playing tonight.
