So we've never gotten around to playing Battlefield games, despite their (varying) awesomeness. I suggest we try out a Battlefield night, just for the hell of it. And just in case people are too poor to buy or too lazy to download there's Enemy Territory which is also awesome. Pick the games you have/would get.Â
I briefly played the Battlefield 2 demo wayback when. It was fun, a lot like Starwars Battlefront. Plus there were parachutes. And the medic had a defibrillator as a melee weapon.
Public servers for BF2 are fuckin awful, it's all either 24/7 Karkand Infantry only (in which case you lose half the appeal of bringing people in) or it's shit like Wake Island. You get stuck on the american team and you just sit in the middle of the fuckin' ocean either getting carpet-bombed as you spawn on your carrier or, if bombing the carrier is disallowed, waiting in a god damn fucking line with 20 other assholes to ride in the only jet or helicopter you have left. God forbid some queermo takes the heli and takes off before anyone gets in and proceeds to fly around the rest of the time, or even worse, some communist actually manages to STEAL YOUR FUCKING JET.
In short: game sucks unless you got enough people for a private server. Don't have any others in the series, and maybe I'm mistaken but people would not enjoy wolfenstein because there's ZOMGOBJECTIVES.

BF2 ftw. I bought 2142, played it for about 40 minutes.
Id rather see more play PS, but if i had to choose, 1942

I think I'm the only person in the world who loved 2142. The pubs on it were sometimes ghey, but they were never as frustrating/retarded as BF2, and when you got in a good squad on a full server it was excellent. Personally I'm looking forward to some Battlefield:Heroes, but I really wanna play some 2142 with you fools.
Also, do you still have to pay monthly for PS? I might have to check it out if you don't...

If you dont want to pay you can use rolling trials, any of the stuff that we do doesnt really require that you maintain a high level character

I got in the beta, but the lag is unbearable so no idea. The character customization kicks ass though.
