One of the better rpg/strategy games I have played this year.  If you have a PS3 I would definitely recommend picking up this game.  It has an awesome balance of turn based and real time action and some pretty good squad customization.

Just realized this isn't the best summary or review so if you don't know of the game go ahead and google it.

Yes, that game is amazing, hands down one of the best RPGs on the 360 (with Last Remnant and Blue Dragon being my other favorites. Lost Oddysey is good but sadly suffers from a really lame main villain. :<)
Valkria Chronicles makes me morbidly depressed I don't have a PS3.  I really don't want the system for any reason but that game.  The combat system is amazing and it's got a full Hitoshi Sakimoto soundtrack and is all pretty and stuff D=.

Oddly enough I did buy a PS3 just for this game.  Well I also did want a Blu Ray player and I had a good amount of money from Christmas Bonuses to warrant spoiling myself.  Plus I figured my Wii sits around and gathers dust until the next big game comes out for it (or whenever someone comes over to play Smash Bros with me) so at least if I run out of things to play on the PS3 I can use it to watch Bladerunner in High Def.

And as Wedge said it does have a pretty sexy soundtrack and the english voice acting isn't bad actually.  But of course I put the sub titles on and switched it over to Japanese.

As much as I wanted to I just couldn't get into the game.  I'll probably go back to it and just player user created puzzles/levels but I got bored doing the same stages with little tweaks and changes to them.
I'm adding this game to my gamefly queue as soon as I get done with Fallout 3 and activate it. (I got 5 months for christmas).
Just started playing this game, and am completely wowed. It fixes all my problems with strategy rpgs, and it's like Smash Brothers, in that there's a huge amount of depth in it, but it's all handled in such easy intuitive ways ways, so that the challenge comes purely from the battles, and not in micromanaging which troops get leveled up when and the like.
Just picked this up from the Gamestop Game Day sale. Good shit man, and if I get bored of it I can trade it into work for more than I paid for it. Smile

Fuck this game is so awesome. I love that they included Vyse as a character you can enlist.
Oh I know.  I can't wait for the sequel
