This. For 30$ more you get like triple the performance of those crap budget cards.

Here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6814102803
Low profile, good budget gaming card. 99$ after rebate.

Yes, always always always, look at what is the next step up and check to see what the price to performance gain that you get by throwing down a little more scratch. In the long run spending a small amount extra now will pay off big in the long run.
I recommend going for a 9800 GT.

It's cheap for the power, can run a bunch of games on high or max, and can run crysis on medium at about 60 fps. (For 120-130 bucks that's a really good bargain.)
what kind of mobo do you have?

Wat is price. Since I need to get a new graphics card as well.

Well, NewEgg keeps sending me e-mails telling me how much they love me and giving me deals.  They don't know I won a hueg computer though (which I've bee informed has FINALLY shipped btw).

There's some same type ATI cards for cheaps right now.

A 4830 with $5 off and free shipping using the codes EMCABBEAK and EMCABBDEC (this is comparable to a 8800/9800GT afaik)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as..._-14102803

And a 4850 with $20 off using the code EMCABBDEB (more comparable to like a 9800GTX or w/ever I think)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as..._-14102770

So that's like $85 or $135 not including rebates or any crap.

I thought you had a decent video card tho?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6814127386 I see almost no difference between these two. Or would I be better off going 9800 GT or GTX? IE http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6814127387 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6814150316 for reviews and cuz I get free CoD :V.
Go with at least a 9800GT, a 4850 if you're willing to save up for it.
So would that last one be a good buy y/n

If you really want COD 4 I guess.  I got a free copy on one of my video cards, beat it in a day and never touched it again.  But you can get a 4850 for only like $5-10 more, which is a better card.

I recommend looking at the approval rating on those first two.

Go for an XFX 9800 Gt. I think it comes with Farcry 2 or something.
XFX card has been bought.

wrong
Card came in earlier today and it's p sweet. I can now play Saints Row 2 at high settings Big Grin. It still gets flickery black boxes, no idea why. Could be due to playing through Steam, idk. But it works great. Haven't checked my TF2 and L4D FPS jump yet, but it should be p sweet.

As I said, great card for the money.
