Teacher Work Day, no school for me either.
I ended up working from home, since the MTA (Maryland Transit Admin) said that if we didn't have to take mass transit today, don't.Â
I don't work or go to school but I-95's all shut down around here. I think a good chunk of VA didn't work.
The way its looking right now, the snow wont stop until tomorrow morning, so I might be out of school and work tommorrow
bah I wish... it snowed another foot or so here and the roads were clear the whole time
Teacher Workday was supposed to be today, snow canceled that. Dunno if they'll make it tomorrow, or if we all just come in as usual.
Hope it snows again.
The.... Cardinals are in the Super Bowl? WTF? And the Devil Rays were in the World Series earlier? Glad I don't pay attention to sports anymore, it's just too messed up now.

None of my classes got canceled. Not much snow really, but a lot of the profs live in Asheville which is an hour away and they got snowed in. We did manage to pull up MSNBC online in my Child/Adolescent Psych class to watch the inauguration (CNN didn't work). Then, it got to his oath and the video stalled and disappeared. We pulled it back up again to be greeted by... "This election footage brought to you interruption-free by Audi." followed by a thirty-second Audi commercial.

tell that to our hundreds of black people and mexicans.
Since my school is know for being a commuter school and it's in Northern Virginia, they decided to cancel classes today which means we got another day of winter break. I'm glad I didn't have to travel today though, traffic on 66 would have been more nightmare-ish than normal even if all the bridges into DC from VA were closed during the inauguration.

You say that but lots of classes at the university were cancelled today.

That's a shame. Was a fantastic speech. next step is living up to the speech through action.
It's a balmy -3 C here (26.6f), I had work.
I spent nearly the entire day trying to install Windows 2000 on a blade-PC. Third day in a row fighting with it.
At least I had cable TV in that lab.
bump bump bump, snow canceled school today. Now I can go sledding!
