No one is ever going to see this if it's stuck in a separate channel. I think there are more then enough idle times to leave it in the main one.

Thing is, nothing kills a channel more than people playing trivia, it's annoying spam for a channel that's meant for chatting... It's much nicer to have it seperated...
I think that a huge silence is most likely to kill and IRC channel.
I am for merging the trivia and the channel, at least, when there are not too many people trying to talk.
