This actually works? Is it legal? Will Steam say "RAWR RAWR YOU AREN'T SUPPOSED TO HAVE THIS!" and destroy your account dead?

It works.  I don't think Steam goes around checking CD-key authenticated games. 

Too bad Mount and Blade doesn't have multiplayer though.  It's still probably $7.50 this weekend, and totally fucking worth that much.

Nvm it's ip based, anonymouse.org fixes the problem if you've got more than one steam account.

I'm confused, I don't have my Portuguese dictionary handy, but I think it's talking multiplayer only, not the whole game.

no, it's the whole game. It lets you download the mutliplayer client and the singleplayer client.

I just did it, and the Single Player and Multi Player are in my games list right now. I don't know if I'll ever play this, but it's free, so whatever.

Using a proxy wouldn't change anything in terms of Steam finding you... a steam account is a steam account regardless of what IP you connect from. Using anonymouse will just let you get more than one CD Key, I'm guessing the thing is IP based since I got the same key a few times in a row.
