Sounds decent. It's not a proper BF3 though.
BF2 and 2042 both sucked

Hopefully this will turn it around since 1942 was the best :\

Yeah, but 2142 was pretty good.
wut

BF2 was way better than 2142. Slightly disappointed it's not BF3, but this could still be good. lulz at Wake Island again Tongue

edit: ...three locations? :Smile

Wake Island was probably the coolest concept but gayest implementation in a map ever. Though I gotta say, going Red Army and frogmanning it all the way to the American carrier to steal their jets and helicopters fucking ruled if you could ever pull it off.

;D
I have to say the trailer looks sweet. I love the blue sky and green grass.

I wonder how much it's going to cost. Apparently it's gonna be downloadable, cuz kotaku says it's for Xbox Live, PSN, and PC.
i liked 2142, but like most games made after 1822 i cant run them on my computer

on a related note, we should play BF 1942 some time.
Though I'm not exactly excited by a return back to WW2, I'll probably get it.  2142 was alright and could've been alot better and BF2 was fun for abit.  I do remember liking 1942 a whole lot though I never got the obsession of Wake Island.  Since it first showed up, it was pretty much the one map that everyone demanded be remade in some way through the rest of the BF games.  It's an alright map, but was never my favorite lol

And I'd be up for 1942, though I don't think I have all the discs or cd key anymore...
Nothing beats the BF 1942 DEMO, I hosted a ~48 player game at a LAN.

No one knew how to play, the physics were super messed up and it was all around awesome.

I hit a guy with a jeep and he shot straight up, taking no damage only to get caught on a passing plane.
24 players max? That sucks ass. And if it ships with three maps I refuse to buy it.  Also no bots, multiplayer only.
Apparently this is nothing like the BF games we know.  It's basically a small hi-def remake of 1942 and only costs about 15 to 20 bucks.  It's download only also.

There's unlimited ammo, auto-health, and only 3 classes that are pretty much equipped to tackle most things and there really are only 3 maps.  Apparently if it does good, they'll make new content to sell later on.

That's a real bummer.  We are getting basically a partial game, half the classes, and no plans for anything more unless it does well.  Apparently it's a try at more casual play, but if your playing BF, could chance your wanting to be a competitive player like the others that play BF2 and BF2142.
oh. f this gaym then.
Here is some gameplay footage. I'm actually rather excited about this. For me it's all gonna depend on how tight the controls are. I'll pay $15-20 bucks for a nice little FPS if the aiming and controls are good. If it's floaty and the weapons are underpowered then it'll be shit.

I've never actually owned a BF game before. Maybe I should try 1942?
1942 or BF2, I didn't give a shit about 2142.

No that one is Battlefield Heroes.  It's so bad they can't even charge for it.  This one still looks like quite a lot of crap though.

Now THAT'S saying something.

Other people like myself liked 2142, I personally think it's worth a look too.

Agreed.
I liked 2142, I didn't bother getting BF2 because I didn't really feel like playing another 'shoot people in the desert and then argue about "realism"' clone...
