Absolutely none of this is sugar coated. And most of you know my stance on the first game. Good ideas, bland story telling good gameplay, bad ai...blah blah.

This game..talk about immersion. And the look..the feel..the way enemies respond...

Anyone with a PS3 needs to download this demo ASAP..if you don't have a Euro account..make one and download it..NOW.
I've heard that it was pretty good. TBH, I'm impressed with the reviews floating around.
I dun got a pee es twipul.
Wasn't the first one really bad if I recall correctly?
So they released the Euro demo, but the US one isn't out till a day before the release unless you preoder? That's pretty retarded considering a demo is a good way to see if you'll like the game or not. Makes me think they don't have a lot of faith in their game. Or they're just retarded...

this is sony we're talking about, who put out a press release thinking they're leading the console race.

Incorrect, it was mediocre. A decent game riddled with a bland atmosphere at times and sometimes shoddy AI. It had high marks, but fell short and most of it because gaming press was labeling it a halo-killer.

You really ought to try out this demo.
I heard the multiplayer is really good on this. COD4 good. Smile

Hey, that's just what I heard from reviews and the Gametrailers videos. Nice list of features and all that good stuff. Tongue
The multiplayer from the first game was pretty good. There just weren't enough maps.

Id give it a go if it was on PC Wink

I downloaded the first for PS2 and just was not impressed  Sad
Everything about the pre-release of this game seems fucked. When Halo came out, it was everywhere but Sony just don't seem to be marketing this at all. And friends who were in the Beta tell me the game is all about the multiplayer but for whatever reason we get a pre-order only, purely SP demo. It's as if they're deliberately trying to suppress the build-up of any excitement.

Having played through the 1.2GB, maybe-7-minute-at-a-stretch demo, it just feels like another generic shooter really. Fair enough if you're into that style but it's not my cup of tea. The controls had a nice weight to them though and, assuming it was deliberately tongue-in-cheek, I enjoyed the dialogue.

Gametrailers is the absolute definition of the dedicated FPS player. As long as you kill things, it'll get a good rating.

I don't really trust their reviews much, if you can't tell.

Isn't every shooter pretty generic by this point in time? It's been done over and over, but it's nice that this game as an almost cinematic in your face feel.

Now you want to talk completely generic..that's Haze in a nutshell...that demo bored me to tears. I didnt even finish it.

You wish, Crytek is heading towards consoles as fast as they can now.

AFAIK, Killzone is made by a dutch developer that sony bought up... Guerilla games or something. Might explain the earlier european release.
It's not like it was hard to make a Euro account for this here American dumbass. I'm surprised Sony never cut off the loophole.

TF2, L4D, and Portal would like to have a word with you

There is always room for creativity in any genre, you just have to work at it, TF may be a old model, but the way valve did it is innovative
