I absolutely am loving this game and I've just converted my account from a trial.
Does anyone else play?

MMO's are just empty sacks of money that slowly get fatter as you realize you're wasting valuable coffee money.
My trial ran out over the weekend, and I'm planning on converting it to an account before the end of the week.

i started a trial, it reminds me of when I tried to install debian on a pentium 233mhz. except I found the first hour of installing debian more personally enlightening and rewarding.

I gave it a try, but was just bored to tears and thought that most everthing was over-complicated to the point of annoyance. Just not a game for me.

There are no "empires" in eve, there's some safe non-PVP areas that are called "1.0" space (0 - 1 rates the amount of security in that system)
Player form corporations, corporations form alliances, and alliances set up sovereignty over systems and form their own territory and security.

MMO's are what take people away from this community, not something we join in and do together. Because MMO's tend to be mutually exclusive from both having gameplay and playing other games. Whenever someone no longer plays games with us, it's probably because they are playing some MMO (or like, having a real life or something ;P).
Except Planetside, you should all play that.
