Come out this Saturday, we will be serving tea and crumpets beneath an Aegis bubble as we camp the ever-loving crap out various roads and hill sides, enjoying the farm of stupid vehicle drivers that will continuously venture too close to our grassy knoll only to be smote with hit-scan zap of a full squad of lancer users.

Make sure you have at least Lancer for this Saturday, preferably rexo to go along with it, Phantasms will be avaliable for shuttle service to and from the Picnic.

We will be doing this sporadically throughout the week as well, Monday was quite successful, nothing quite like watching a BFR come in after what it things is an easy kill against one infantry, only to have 6 pop up over the hill and rape it.

If you've been reading these week in and week out and NOT come out, I'm very disappointed in you, its free, and its unlike any other FPS you will ever experience. For those of you that don't understand what I said we were doing in the first sentence, we basically put up a deploy-able shield that cloaks us and blocks enemy fire (also dispenses ammo). We then sit in a concealed position with anti-tank weapons and bait tanks, planes, and giant robots to come kill us, its quite comical, especially the robots, as they have no change in hell at getting away.

Day: SATURDAY
Time: 7pm cst (or earlier)

Ventrilo is mandatory

If you make a character please post their in game name here

Fun in this game increases exponentially with the more people that join up so I hope to see more of the people that stated they were interested in the initial thread to come out, the game is FREE, but you are restricted to 14 days after which you will have to start all over again. If you get "suspended" or banned since the trial accounts are loopholes just make another one. Conversely you can spend $20 to pick up the game at direct2drive, which comes with a free month, this allows you to keep your character instead of having to re-level someone every 2 weeks.

TRIAL INSTALLER

Remember, the trials sometimes will RANDOMLY suspended you, just a heads up.
i can pick up ground support and set up a router from spawns if you want?

We've mostly been running behind enemy lines where an AMS wouldn't be able to sneak to, we'll see if we need it
what about SEEKRET AMS? I can certaintly pick up AV on my alt Smile
Damn my trial is about out or out.  I should start a new one JIC I can come out.  Oh wait I'm heading to Miami for my brother in laws birthday.

I hate Miami.
Welp I'm done.

Sorry guys but I'm not going to play for a while. Not like I was much help anyways.
:'(
Everyone spam Geoff with commands to play with us, so he can replace Chrono.  Also, what are the odds of being able to sneak an AMS-carrying Lodestar into a battle area?
more like a lodestar carrying a full bus

rumsfald

the lodestar AMS idea has merit. the bus idea does not.

The picnic shenanigans was so much fun some of us tried it again Tuesday, but it was a 2-way with Vanu as 1 so we were less successful. But, Monday night was so fucking fun to merit repeated attempts.

Note: If you are going to come out, you MUST listen to directions on vent. A large part of the Pic-A-Nick fun is surprise. So when the Squad leader says get in the invisible bubble, we hide in the invisible bubble. When the Squad Leader directs ONE person to fire at / bait a high value target (e.g., BFR, tank), then us others need to stay out of sight and not fire until the trap is set. This also means extra responsibility on the Squad/Platoon Leader to 1) call targets, 2) provide compass directions of potential targets, 3) identify who has baiting duty, 4) signal OPEN FIRE.

If we have the usual sat group (~10+) and we all coordinate and co-operate, we can take down a Galaxy Gunships like candy, which I think are probably the hardest vehicles in the game to kill while on foot.

Oh, I wish. If only you could spend extra certs in loadstar to carry extra crap. Why have they not tried that idea in the past 5 years?

Also, so nice to see Ianki and Trace come out tonight. All I know is, I log into vent and Caff is bitching about people being fail for spawning at the wrong AMS and not going to the backdoor. It's been said before, but he has the soul of a mean ass sergeant.

And yes, we played picnic again tonight and had a good 15 mins of camping on the ridge getting bombers (liberators), armor suits (MAXes), and even a silly big robot (BFR), like it was duck hunt.
Goddamnit if you're playing send me an invite.
I did not know what i was doing.

I thought you were doing fine, the more you play the more you will get the hang of it
It actually starts making a lot of sense rather quickly.
