My trusty black Dual Shock 3 has finally crapped out on me in a most unfortunate way. The right analog stick seems to permanently be stuck in a revolution, with it's function constantly in use during games: (e.x. in games where it controls the camera, it constantly spins in a circle.) Is there anything I can do to fix this, or do I just need to shell out another $50 (that's seriously what they cost Sad) to get a new one. It's no huge deal as I have a second white one as well, but it's halted my Katamari versus mode romps (although fortunately Street Fighter doesn't use it Wink)
Crack the thing open and get to work, I bet there are guides on how to fix a stuck analog stick on either of the previous two playstation controllers, and id be willing to bet the guts that control an analog stick have not changed all that much.
Why are controllers this generation so expensive? Sad

I feel like an idiot, but I didn't even think to do that >.< I'll look up a guide now!

No clue. I really doubt that the DS3 is that much fancier then the $20 2's they used to make :/ Sixaxis doesn't cost them an extra $30.

controllers are half the profit of the system.

doubt it, since you need max 4 in a lifetime, and you need more than that in games.
