This stupid ass trend of releasing "expansion pack" games for the Rockband/Guitar Hero series was already horribad when they were an additional 40$, and now they're charging 250$ for some "custom instruments" to go along with what would be a 10$ songs download? God damn it.
I get the feeling this is more than a $10 song download. I mean with the Beatles library they can and should be putting at least 50 tracks on there. They will also be selling the game as a normal standalone without the instruments, it's just another special edition pack thing. However I don't really care, I never thought most of the Beatles music lent itself to this type of game. And it's disappointing because when they announced this project there was a lot of speculation it WASN'T just going to be Rock Band: Beatles, but so much for that.
Love The Beatles more than Jesus, but I'm not gonna pay $50 to play there songs :S

Even at 50$, you're still paying 200$ for controllers, and as you said, most of their music doesn't lend itself to this type of game. That's how all of these expansion packs have been and it's dumb. >

on-topic: I've had a rental of RB2 for several months, and have played it twice. Yet, the beatles are very tempting, if they put together a solid catalogue, this will be very tempting for me.
