I had a great birthday, celebrated in 3 cities. Had fun at my grandparents 40th Anniversary shindig. Heard lots of crazy stories about my grandpa's shenanigans. Thought I'd share a couple.
When my grandparents started dating my grandma mentioned she was buying a new car. My grandpa insisted he come along. When they get there he takes over and drives the price down super low with all these extras. So the salesman is pretty warn out when they sign the papers. As soon as that's done he shakes my grandma's hand and thanks her and tells the salesman he offers assistance to keep young ladies from being suckered by carsalesmen and that he was going to return to his post outside and wait for the next one. And he walked out. Both my grandma and the salesman where speachless.
A little time after this my grandma got audited. She worked in PR and didn't make much money. Again my grandpa insisted he go along. When they got there the auditors asked who the heck my grandpa was. He said he was my grandma's male model. He goes with her to all of her accounts so she can get a picture of someone enjoying whatever it was she was doing PR for. The auditors then spent the rest of the time asking my grandpa about this and wondering how you get that job that they forgot about the audit and just gave her a pass.
