read somewhere normal ds games will work on dsi, regardless of region, except downloadable DSiware stuff will be region-locked, however gamecards might not be
irregardless, I am definitely considering buying this, and if it is region-locked, someone will find a way to hack it just like the wii, ds has just as big a homebrew market, and since it has an actual sd card slot it should make it a lot easier

The epic art on it does not change the fact that the DSi is the stupidest piece of technology Nintendo has produced for awhile.

Gaming systems to me are like toasters. It works when it's as toaster, but as soon as you glue on a camera, music player, waffle iron, and shoe polisher it kind of takes focus away from the actual toaster, causing it to fall behind in quality.
Also do want, without the stupid add on crap.

And people, especially in Japan, will continue to eat up the DS

I'm only considering buying this because my original DS I bought is terribly scratched up, has a big circle scratch in the touch screen because of Elite Beat Agents, and it has a broken hinge.
