i'm not a huge fan of that steam but oké
Yea, I think steam has pretty much usurped xfire as the gamer's instant messaging system, not that xfire was ever bad, steam just went from a pile of dookie to being good

I wish Valve would add "View game Info" and "Join Game" to games like Call of Duty.

I do too, but it has to do with the steam servers right?

Because every game needs their own friends system, as well as server system

[/quote]Uh, most likely, IW is probably cool enough to simply integrate their servers with Steam so it works though.

Actually that would be the job of whoever coded that game to add that support, its built into source, but for something like CoD, the programmers would have to go back and add it, completely out of Valve's hands I believe.
It's not out of Valve's hands, seeing as Xfire has join game/view server info for COD + tons of other games, but I'm sure there's some legal implications.

I just use both, being that steam still decides it wants to wander down an alley to suck some cock every once in a while, and I prefer not to have my in-game im stuff shut down for hours while Steam network tries to gulp it down before getting back to work.

Xfire is still useful for keeping track of how much life I've wasted in total, as opposed to merely the previous 2 weeks.

I know, it's the only thing Steam's missing.
