I like double space for the reasons mentioned in the blog post.  It's better at breaking up ideas and bringing conclusions to thoughts.  Eff the French Space.  How long will you have it before it surrenders?

Double spaces have been proven to contribute to premature keyboard ware.
If you were meant to double space after periods, Word would do it for you.

Double space kinda looks better. I normally single space though. It's one less button push.
