This + being old in general, maybe if we're lucky ours will be the generation when real aging therapy becomes a medical reality and you'll be able to freeze or wind back your biological age...

Ted Williams laughs at your ideas because he's already beaten you there.

Blood clots. A kid my age had a stroke in grade 11 during a hockey game so we all had to spend a day of school going over sitting down for too long and shit. It got to me really bad and now I cant sit still for more than a half hour or get really on edge. Close 2nds for "top fears" would be getting held up with a needle full of blood or getting lost at sea.

Among other things, I fear the fog and the gnawing emptiness.

(Metaphorical fog, to be clear... Not that thick fog isn't frightening when you're trying to drive and have very low visibility.)

I'm afraid of drowning.

Also afraid that I will get some horrifying spine injury and be immobile for the rest of my life.

O-o

Question for anyone; When humans expand across the entire face of the earth, including the poles.... where will we tell our children Santa's workshop is?

I doubt this will happen. There will probably be a balancing event...whether natural or man made that occurrs and cuts down population.

But if it does happen, I suggest we tell them he is on the moon and has special telescopes to watch the kids to see if they are bad or good.

*shudder*

I take that back. Tell them he is in hell.

Santa's Sealab, the only option.

Re: question for _________ - Vongore - 03-09-2012

Kids will no longer believe in Santa because they'll have easier access to Internet where they'll learn stuff more easily, just like Cartoons are no longer for teenagers but for little kids and kids 8-13 think unless you party (kiddie style) you're a baby.

Re: question for _________ - Eightball - 03-10-2012

Current projections are for world population to stabilize around 10 billion, but that's assuming certain African and Asian countries develop quickly enough...

I meant on how kids perceive these products. I know cartoons are meant for different audiences, hell, i watch more cartoons than movies on a daily basis, and stuff like Regular Show, whose almost entire soundtrack is based on 80s rock will disagree too.

But go ask a kid of 10-12 if he still likes cartoons and he'll say those are for babies while he listens rap (or hiphop, still don't know the difference) on his way to see his girlfriend.

come on vongore, cut the "kids these days" bullshit, you're smarter than that.

Re: question for _________ - Versus - 03-10-2012

why don't these kids like cartoons *watches stuff aimed at kids*

Re: question for _________ - StolenToast - 03-11-2012

I think "kids these days" are just growing up a lot faster than we did.  I mean, on the topic of cartoons we have MAD, on Cartoon Network.  How is a kid supposed to get half the jokes and references in that show?  It makes ME laugh.  Also I visited my old middle school recently and kids were much more stylish than I remember people being when I was at that age...

But by then I will tell my kids that Santa is actually a cyber-gremlin who surfs along 4G waves and resides in poorly secured apache servers during the non-November-thru-february months (as there will be no more seasons at that time).

Nah, you're not that bad. Zoso or Blues would probably fit into chaotic evil.
