It looks like its nothing but family visits this time around, but I will let you guys know next time I'm in town (and I'm sure there will be a next time), also, so fun to be driving in this weather (I honestly actually missed it and there is no sarcasm, not even sarcasm on the no sarcasm, I legitimately like driving in this kind of weather and terrain, it is fun to me)

I have Christmas shopping to do for my dad, and don't have a good idea of what to get him, apart from it has to relate to coffee. What coffee item should I buy him that is between $10 and $30?

French Press, they make the best coffee

Get a cheap(er) one a little bag of fresh ground coffee.

I actually like moka pots better, and they actually make decent espresso! If he's just a casual coffee drinker and don't care for espresso, then a french press is really nice.

Pretty cool. Do you have them send you head measurements or just universal size?

That's a moka pot, not a french press.

Aeropress looks interesting, but apparently lack of crema, which makes making lattes a bit boring...
I'm using a Keurig atm for regular coffee and a cheap little steam espresso maker.

Fleece is stretchy so perfect sizing isn't necessary inmost cases. 23-24" as a default sizing will fit 90% of people, head size doesn't correlate very tightly with height often

The aeropress looks like a pretty good idea, so I'll go with that. Thanks, all.

Re: - at0m - 12-05-2013

Aeropress is tasty, but snag a reusable filter

Did I misread the quote tree? Ultimately, I prefer coffee from a moka pot
