WHERE'D YOU GET THAT? That is seriously old, I haven't played on CC2's servers in a few weeks, I swear! I won't deny playing on them though, but I haven't used that particular tag since July. I guess Budr just has it in for me or something. :-[ Re: Books motherfuckers, do you read them? - Surf314 - 09-17-2008 Does the simpsons philosophy book count? All I remember from it is that no one cares about maggie. Also I was super close to majoring in philosophy. It helped I took an intro to philosophy class with a super awesome teacher. He made it really interesting. Also I bet he got in a lot of trouble with the co-eds. He was pretty attractive for an older guy. I might have gone gay for him. My friend wrote an article in the "philosophy of the daily show", another is trying to edit the "philosophy of arrested development". I remember one article in the simpson's one that compared bart to the idealized Heideggarian self Re: Books motherfuckers, do you read them? - Tragic Hero - 09-17-2008 (09-17-2008, 04:12 PM)exanimo link Wrote: Ianki and I read philosophy. Re: Books motherfuckers, do you read them? - cannedpeahes - 09-17-2008 I'm forced to read it. Bentham, Mill, Kant, Dostoevsky (soft philosophy), Sartre, Camus. PAR121 Western Moral Traditions is the most damn reading I've ever done. Re: Books motherfuckers, do you read them? - exanimo - 09-17-2008 Get on IRC so we can discuss it then, pooface. Haven't read Sarte yet, although it's on my list. Is the Being and Nothingness worth the read? I spotted him in a collected essays book, and he's deeply embedded in my PAR121 text. I think I probably only smoke because Camus smoked. I couldn't do it, just for the fact that it got popular about the same time that Stephanie Meyer piss-on-a-page got popular, and I denounced YA novels entirely. Except for Neil Gaiman. I liked them but only because I heard how young the author was first (I think like 16 when he started on the first one?). You have to admit some parts of the books are horrible written and teen angsty. But yes they are quite good overall. Also fuck yea Neil Gaiman! Re: Books motherfuckers, do you read them? - Master Shake - 09-24-2008 Yeah it's not written very well, but the story is awesome. Re: Books motherfuckers, do you read them? - KarthXLR - 09-24-2008 I just finished Jurassic Park today. EVERYBODY DIES D: I loved it thought, great read. Next up: The lost world. |
