(10-05-2009, 10:44 AM)Cataract link Wrote: So, I was about to post a few pictures of myself, but I just realized I'm wearing the same shirt in all 3 of them. To be fair, I really love the shirt, but still.

This first one was taken in the NYC subway during NY Comic Con, I think. If it wasn't during the days of the con, it was very close by. One of my favorite pictures.

Second one here was taken last weekend at a local store, they were holding a SF4 tournament that day (I got 3rd out of 16).

And this last one was taken the same day as the previous picture, but I just like it, even though you can only tell who I am by my shirt.

Now I feel like I need to explain why I wear that shirt so much. Last October, I ended up going to a Capcom event in Brooklyn called Street Fighter Club. They only revealed the actual location about 24 hours before it started, and they were really hyping it up. You had to register on a list to get in, and only a certain few were allowed in. I ended up going with a few people from destructoid.com, and a few friends. We get in, and they have SF4 and HD Remix set up for people to play, complete with arcade sticks. Fuck it, there are pictures, I'll just link to a gallery of those so you can get a feel of how this place looked. They handed out a swag bag, and that shirt was in it. The design is the character Guile from the Street Fighter series getting electrocuted by another character.

Oh, and here's a link to pics of the event:[/url]

Were you at the last BaltimoreDC NARP? You look familiar.

Re: Pictures - Professor Funbucks - 11-04-2009

Pic from frosh week when we went to go watch a Geegee's game...mainly because it was mandatory before going to a cabin party in Quebec afterward.

and here's me after/during that big party in Quebec afterward
[Image: imsokewl.jpg]
The writing on my shirt in the 2nd image was some girl writing on me with a sharpie. The Arts faculty frosh shirts had a Deer on them, and the antlers spelled out "Arts 2009" very subtly. She wrote "Buck Me". I thought it was clever so I went with it.

pisses me off when people talk like this because my friends all bitch and moan about visiting me and are shocked that I drive down to see them.... THREE - FOUR EFFIN HOURS to NYC from boston... 12 is certainly where I'd start considering it a long haul though Smile

lol, you can take a chinatown bus for $15 super early in the morning and just sleep or watch porn on the free wifi. Why would anyone ever claim that to be a hard trip to make?

Re: Pictures - Luinbariel - 11-05-2009

I regularly drive 3 hours or so alone; visiting my parents means I just got used to the trip. It isn't really all that bad. HeK and I recently did a 12 or so hour trip out to Alberta for a friend's wedding, and it isn't really all that bad. You can do it in one day if you start somewhat early and don't dawdle too long on the way.
