My gaming rig is dead, got a spare graphics card? - at0m - 10-27-2009

I'm sick of my gaming rig sitting in a corner. Its GeForce 6800 overheats and it has a bad HDD. It's been sitting in a corner for over a year because I can't afford a new graphics card for it, although I did manage to score a terabyte hdd about 6 months ago. I had the money set aside for it then my car broke down, $1200 in repairs. I'm bitter because I can't even play old games at decent res/quality, let alone anything new like Borderlands which everyone is fapping about. Caff suggested asking the forums, which I'm loathe to do but here goes: Anyone have a spare PCI-X graphics card they'd be willing to let go for cheap?

well I dunno I might. I have an 8800gt sitting in my room which may or not work but it is covered under a lifetime warranty and it hasn't been registered yet.

dunno if it works. Last time It was in a comp nothing displayed at all not even the bios when I got it working it had the one that's in there now. It could work it might not.

I'm actually in the middle of rebuilding the rig into an Antec 300 case, the Sonata I was using is part of the reason I've been having overheat problems.
