Mic Issues - Sogo - 08-17-2011

As a few of you already know, my mic has been fucking up in TF2 lately. It works on everything I've tried that isn't TF2, Mumble, Audacity recordings, built in mic tests, But when I try to say anything in TF2, If anyone hears anything at all, they get small bits and pieces of what I'm saying.
I use Logitec G330 headset http://www.logitech.com/en-us/webcam-communications/internet-headsets-phones/devices/5848 that can work either through USB or through 3.5mm jacks on the back of my PC. Anyone ever hear of this problem before or have an idea on how to fix it?

Does it not work with both USB and the 3.5mm (not at the same time)?

Exact same problem as me, same headset Reeve? and yes Hek, I've tried both the USB and 3.5mm jacks.

Try the Steam voice chat test and then the TF2 voice test. Make sure both work flawlessly.
Are you using automatic or push-to-talk voice in TF2?

I use push-to-talk for tf2, and the Steam voicechat test works flawlessly. I get the stutter in TF2 whether I'm in game, or using the mictest in TF2. Funnily enough, if I open the steam overlay and use the mic test in steam settings while I have the tf2 test open, Both tests pick up my voice flawlessly, but the moment the steam test closes, the TF2 one goes to shit.

*Edit* If I get some sort of video recording stuff set up, I'll record the mic issue listed above.

mines a Plantronics head set, but the problem sounds just like the one I'm having :-\

I think it's a problem with Steam, as my mic will work flawlessly in anything else, but in TF2 it'll work for a minute or so, then start broadcasting static.
