I tried using my bike helmit for the portal core but after seeing it'd not make the right size, I follow Pie's info on making the core, but the bike helmet just seems too mask like to scrap it so I tried to make it as a shyguy mask.. tho prying it off the helmet was a great pain lol

Not bad, did you try doing anything to smooth off the mask and make it glossy?

Yeah, it seems to fit with me pushing my sister around in a wheel chair, her belly fruit is close to being ripe XD

Cover the whole thing in bondo, use 2000 grit sandpaper to get a smooth surface, then prime, and cover with a flat acrylic white. Cover that with a gloss sealer.

I thought paper mache over a beachball would be perfect , then deflate when its ready.

yeah that's what pie said, I used a weird punch it balloon from a dollar store for the core, & now looking at it it makes me want to make ED-E or some type of eyebot  prop ^^

Have you thought about stretching a thin piece of black fabric to block the eye holes? I'm thinking like black panty hose.

I'll be sure to try that next time, this was pretty much what I could make before con in 2 weeks.

@ matter11
I haven't, I should try it for next con. this one, my job is to push my preggos sister in a wheel chair, sadly she didn't like the idea of dressing her as a cart XD would be easy to get tf2 cosplayers to help push
