You install skins in TF2 by just putting them in a folder you have to make, you don't overwrite like you used to in old Half-Life games.
Just rename folder with custom content in it and *poof* back to defaults.

You know, I wish someone had remade ricochet. I had a lot of fun with that back in the day, but the levels lacked variety.

Yea I remember when Kotaku had this contest before they changed the layout and I stopped visiting the site. Good stuff. It was just the character skins for the contest though.
