Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - Vandamguy - 04-04-2008

and how many players do it support. ?

Re: Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - Tragic Hero - 04-05-2008

8-10 players I think and I am very interested in this.

Re: Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - Eschatos - 04-05-2008

I'm semi-interested.  I'll support.

Re: Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - Luca Shoal - 04-05-2008

I could get into it, I'd just need to reinstall.

I'd get my ass handed to me, since I'm not very good at it Big Grin.

Re: Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - Versus - 04-05-2008

meeeeee. This would be fucking fun.

Re: Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - Vandamguy - 04-05-2008

i've never played it so you definatly want me on your team
ill pick it up mon or tues, its on sale at staples for 25 - but if i get the retail copy will it tie into steam properly ?

Re: Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - Eschatos - 04-05-2008

Why would we use Steam for Civ?  You can just as easily create a game online without it.

Re: Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - Tragic Hero - 04-05-2008

And I think you could just add the game to Steam anyways if you wanted to play through it.  And I call the Greeks!

Re: Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - Greatbacon - 04-05-2008

I'm in for these shenanigans.  I'll be America, floundering my way through foreign relations, resource management, and war, just like the real thing!

Re: Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - Luca Shoal - 04-05-2008

IF we play, would we be doing it with any expansions, or no?

Cuz if there are expansions... I call Russia. Otherwise, India.

Re: Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - Tragic Hero - 04-05-2008

Good question.  All I have is the Gold Edition.

Re: Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - Eschatos - 04-05-2008

I have all expansions, put me down for Germany.

Re: Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - Greatbacon - 04-05-2008

I've only got the original version.

Re: Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - copulatingduck - 04-05-2008

I have some version I found online  :-X

It's worked for me before with private games, I might try to get in on some action. If this becomes a semi-permanent thing, I'd definitely be willing to pick it up.

Fuck me, why is it that RTS my worst game type, and its the bandwagon  :'(

Well, multi-player civ can have some real-time elements to it, but it's more turn-based than real-time strategy to me.

Like Bacon said Civ 4 isn't really RTS.  Most of it involves turn based so you won't have to go crazy with the micromanaging

Re: Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - The GHost - 04-06-2008

I'd be down for this. I also only have the original Civ 4.

Playing the "real world" map is a lot of fun in multiplayer. Get everyone started in the old world and watch the chaos as we all try to colonize the Americas Big Grin

The only thing I hate about that is that if you like playing as the Greek/Romans like I do you start off at such a shitty position.

Re: Civilization 4, in my FNF ? - ZargonX - 04-06-2008

I'd be willing to give this a shot.  I usually play PBEM/24-hour Pitboss, so I might have to learn to adjust to a little more rapid-fire game...
