I'm guessing it will end up as a shitty port for the PC crowd.

What the shit is this crap?  I didn't know Rockstar owned the IP for this.  And Max Payne 2 may not have been as hot on story, but the gameplay was way fucking better.

I know Rockstar published the second one, and I think they bought up Remedy (the developers of the first two) shortly after.

Edit: Found it, Rockstar probably acquired Remedy after the PC version. It says rockstar developed the console versions.

Ummm no, Remedy is still a privately held company and Rockstar doesn't own them at all.  If Rockstar did own them, they'd have renamed the company Rockstar Northeast or Rockstar Finland or something.  However Take Two (who owns Rockstar) bought the rights to MP in 2002 according to Remedy's own website.
